Time Keeps on Slipping

Running has been few and far between the past week. Last week I was able to get in a couple good runs. Thursday morning I said goodbye to my husband as he is being deployed to Iraq the beginning of Dec. Right now he is at a mobilization station in NJ. Friday I headed to my Dad's in MA to get in a nice long 6 mile run that allowed me to clear my head. Saturday was a running bust because I was up at the crack of dawn to go to the Red Sox Victory Parade. Worth every minute to see all my favs on the duckboats not to mention I got frontrow viewing. Sunday my daughter was ill with a very high scary fever that caused me to miss my long run. Unfortunately my daughter is still ill but after a visit to the Dr. tonight we are on the road to recovery. Now I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to fit all of my training in and run a healthy marathon in January. I may be forced to change my plans.
Tomorrow is another day and I will get out and run.

gosh, it sounds like you've had a lot of life to take care of...the running will happen when you need it. sometimes it's better not to feel pressure about it, isn't it? good luck with everything, and the best to your husband.

"Tomorrow is another day and I will get out and run." What a great quote! Do you mind if I borrow it some time?
